# Content generation

> How your sitemap becomes finished, ready-to-view pages.

## Overview

Content generation is where the pages set out in your sitemap actually get built.

## What happens here

Building a Microsite happens in three stages: content is generated for every page that needs it, then any new guides, area pages, or listings are reviewed and approved before they're saved, and finally your pages are created so they're ready to view. If something in a build doesn't complete, Obvlo can retry the step or adjust the pages causing the issue.

Behind the scenes, this work runs through Obvlo's content engine, which handles everything from sourcing and matching content to building and publishing pages.

## What this means for you

You don't need to run or manage this process. You'll be able to see progress as your Microsite is built, and you'll be notified once it's ready to view.

## Who's involved

Obvlo's implementation team runs content generation. You and your team can follow progress at any time.
