# Page Editor

> How to edit page content inside Site Editor.

## Overview

Page Editor is where you make page-level updates after selecting a page in Site Editor.

This is the main day-to-day workspace for teams reviewing Microsite pages.

In this page, a section is a page block. Each section contains content such as copy, imagery, links, and CTAs.

Use `Content tab` for section-level content updates.

For theme sections, you can also link guides or listings and then regenerate copy so they appear in the section content.

For full terminology definitions, see the [Glossary](/support/glossary).

## Page Editor working areas

**Left sidebar**

Use this area to navigate page structure and select what you want to edit.

* `Sections tab`: move through sections and select targets.
* `Settings tab`: manage page-level settings and structure controls.

**Top bar**

Use this area for editing controls and page-level preview controls.

* Point-and-click selection lets you choose a target directly on the page preview.
* Device preview modes help you review Mobile, Tablet, Laptop, and Desktop layouts.

**Preview panel**

Use this area to review how the page will look when deployed live.

* Check layout, spacing, and content in the page view.

**Right sidebar**

Use this area to apply content edits to the selected section.

* `Content tab`: copy, imagery, links, and CTA updates.

Content editing flow:

1. Open `Content tab`.
2. Modify copy, adjust imagery, or update links and CTAs.
3. If available, click `Generate copy`, review the prompt, then run it to draft section copy.
4. Review in preview, then click `Save`.

If a field is missing, first confirm you selected the correct section.

## Content editing tasks

### 1) Edit section content

Use this flow for normal day-to-day page edits.

1. Select the section from `Sections tab` or click it directly in preview.
2. Open `Content tab`.
3. Update the fields available for that section, such as copy, imagery, links, and CTAs.
4. Review the result in preview.
5. Click `Save`.

### 2) Generate Copy for a section

Use this when `Generate Copy` is available in the selected section.

1. Click `Generate Copy`.
2. Review the confirmation prompt and optional prompt input.
3. Run generation and wait for updated content.
4. Review the generated output in preview.
5. Click `Save` to keep it.

### 3) Add or remove guides/listings in theme sections

For theme sections, `Add Element` links existing content into the selected section.

1. Select the theme section in `Sections tab`.
2. In `Content tab`, use `Linked Guides` or `Add Element`.
3. Add or remove the guide/listing entry.
4. Click `Save` to link it to the section.
5. Click `Generate Copy` so the section text updates to include the linked content.
6. Review, then click `Save` again.

Note: on destination pages this flow links guides, on area pages it links listings.

### 4) Edit listings inside a guide

On guide pages, you can edit the listings inside that guide.

1. Select the guide content section.
2. Open `Content tab`.
3. Click `Edit listings in guide`.
4. Add, remove, or update listing details.
5. Save listing changes.

## Save and publish behaviour

* `Save` in Page Editor stores your content changes and shows them in preview.
* `Save` does not publish to the live public page.
* Use the page `Publish` action when you want draft page changes to go live.
* Listing-level changes can appear in preview immediately after save because the listing record is updated directly.
